Today we talk to you is a sound journey on a lute along the Ebro River that brings us closer to the sound landscape of the river environment. The piece created collectively during the Exploring the Sound of the Ebro workshop. Biosonification and Acoustic Ecology, is a site-specific piece. It is composed with the recording of terrestrial and underwater sounds typical of the river, and with the design of sounds created from the biological processes of the microbial consortia that inhabit its waters. The sound journey invites us to blur the lines of the natural and the fictional, presenting an expanded soundscape that tensions the listening experience towards an interspecies encounter, a sensitive framework that attends to the multidimensionality of the soundscape of the Ebro River.
