I sampled our benzomatic torch in the bathroom. Though I was only about six inches away from the mics, which are hypercardoid, so not much ambience is picked up. I move the torch around a bit then turn it up, then off. Also at the beginning of the sample is a flick of a lighter, which could easily be edited out for use on its own.
