this recording was made on a winter camping trip to smarts mtn (white mtns, new hampshire) in february
2006. a stream runs in the background, there are crunchy footsteps in
the snow that approach towards the end; but the wind is definitely the
centerpiece here. pretty intense wind that borders on distortion;
interacts with the mic in a sort of stuttering way that produces
interesting rhythmic effects that could even be reminiscent of
industrial decay. stereo recording: sony ecm-ds70p -> minidisc.
