Autumn woods soundscape Mix Two November 7 2025

While the sights of autumn here in Illinois are becoming very vivid, with the oranges, and yellows, golds and reds filling the woods, the sounds of autumn - on the other hand - are way more subtle. Delicate.

This is a recording featuring the soft, steady sifting sound of wind blowing through the trees.

resting place on the soft forest floor

#2:26 A very heavy twig falls to the forest floor. You can see from the file, how the sound of this
twig is much higher than the surrounding soundscape
#2:30---2:44 a car passing the road, and the fallen leaves - like mini colorful meteors - trailing
in its wake
#3:58 until the end of the file, a collection of birds calling out
