A very nice surprise as I was going through this recording from a friend's backyard on a very pleasant, mildish-early spring day.
A very vocal tree frog decided to "sing" out several times during the mid-morning.
Now they are quite capable of producing a very loud call, but still, the loudness of this call-out has me thinking
that the tree frog was very close to my recording set up.
Recorded on May 13 2025 in Carbondale, a small town in southern Illinois using my Zoom F4
and one Lom UsiPro Omnidirectional microphone.
