Carnival morning in Oeteldonk ('s-Hertogenbosch) in the Netherlands.
We are in a quiet street where the carnival prince will arrive later this morning.
First, you hear the bells of a smaller church in the neighbourhood.
Later, you hear the bells of St. John's Cathedral in the background. These bells are ringing because the traditional carnival mass has just ended and people are heading to the train station to welcome the prince.
All kinds of Oeteldonkers (citizens born here) from outside the city arrive in the street to go to their lodgings with friends and family. Carnival is a big tradition in our city. Here you can get a taste of the atmosphere.
