Melting snow in forest. A loud shouting Eurasian Jay.
In the snow-covered forest of Overloon in the south of the Netherlands, it was quiet until the temperature rose, the sun began to shine and the snow melted. The thick, snow-filled raindrops fell with a loud patter onto the dry leaves of the oak trees and on the table in the garden.
Birds come to eat in the garden of the cottage. I spread 100% peanut butter on the bark of the trees. It's a feast for the birds. Try it yourself.

January photo shows a forest in the snow.A serene winter scene unfolds in the forest near Overloon, where tall, leafless trees stand quietly under a clear blue sky. Their trunks and branches are dusted with snow, adding contrast to the dark bark. The forest floor is blanketed in a thick layer of untouched snow, creating a peaceful, undisturbed atmosphere. A wooden fence runs horizontally through the middle of the image, partially buried by the snow, hinting at human presence without disrupting the natural stillness. A Dutch winter forest in the snow.
