Old woman from village Hedikhuizen on the windy dyke of the Meuse River in the Netherlands on an early evening in April.
An old woman walks up the river dike and tells in local dialect a miraculous story. The mics are 10 meters away.
…… I have six grandsons. All six of them are already working. Yes, each one taller than the next. Another one has just been here, he's in America. He's leaving next week for two or three weeks. He works in the wind turbine industry. That ship is arriving early, so he has to leave now. He's getting everything ready. They have a security gate at the airport that they can walk straight through. Then he'll be away for three weeks and come back, and then leave again for four weeks. ... he earns well. But then again, he's away from home so much, and so is his girlfriend. She stays at home, but she also has a very good job. And I have a great-granddaughter.
But that makes the loss... (editor's note: of her husband) I can cope with it better now, with the help I have. I can go there whenever I want... That knot was there until my eldest daughter passed away. But that help said, 'I'll take that away from you. Partially. The emotion surrounding important days remains. At other times, I console myself with the thought that the children are working or on holiday, but they are close to me. My youngest (deceased) daughter had lots of bears and the eldest (deceased) did a lot with butterflies. Now they are in a glass dome.
I have those dry mats in the greenhouse. I looked at that mats, I see a silhouette, on both mats. You won't believe what I saw. I showed it to everyone. I photographed it. Two little bears playing with each other and a butterfly and her crouching next to them... I was able to photograph it like that. How close are they to you, at the back of the greenhouse? Yes, real silhouettes. Yes, and then grey mats and the brown silhouettes on them, right? Yes, things do happen to us from time to time... that's very unusual. Right, I'm going back down the dyke.
And there she goes…..
#2:24 When I listened back, I heard that just as she was talking about her miracle, the church bells began to ring. Listen for yourself.

About the picture
A peaceful and expansive landscape unfolds on the riverbank of the Meuse near Hedikhuizen.
At the bottom of the dike, a microphone stands on a tripod, ready to capture the sounds of nature.
The dike and floodplains are covered with fresh green grass and bordered by tall reeds and yellow flowers.
On the right-hand side is a wooden information board with a map for cyclists who come here to enjoy the view.
And on both sides of the river further on are a few trees, their silhouettes outlined against a grey, cloudy sky.
The openness of the landscape is typical of the banks of the Meuse in this part of the river, which flows from France in this direction.
It is quiet by the river. Some wind blows through the bushes. Across from drives some traffic.
