Cornfield Heatwave. A summer’s day on the edge of the village Lage Zwaluwe by the river Amer in the Netherlands. Wind rustling through the cornfield, birds and crickets chirping, Western House Martins, distant ships and airplanes passing by, a car driving down the street behind the house, a faint child’s voice in the distance—and it’s scorching hot.
