Here you hear the echo of the sounds of the city center. The small urban river, the Binnendieze, flows through the Kruisbroederstraatje in 's-Hertogenbosch.
My microphone hangs low, just above the narrow waterway that runs beneath the houses of the old city center. The echoes of church bells, people, workers, and traffic resonate above the water. When the wind blows, you briefly hear the rustling of the leaves. After #6:00 minutes, the voices of children from the daycare center begin to emerge.
This is a photo of the Binnendieze in the Kruisbroederstraatje, located in the historic city center of ’s-Hertogenbosch. The narrow canal runs quietly between two old brick buildings, bordered by high walls that reflect beautifully in the dark, still water. An arched brick bridge span the canal, adding a timeless charm to the scene. Ivy climbs up one of the walls, softening the urban architecture with a touch of nature. The atmosphere is peaceful and intimate, capturing the unique blend of history and serenity that defines this hidden corner of the city.

Flowing quietly through the heart of ’s-Hertogenbosch, the Binnendieze is more than just a canal—it’s a living monument to the city’s medieval past.
