Strong coastal winds whipping the flagrope.
đȘïž In the stormy wind, the rope of the flag flaps against the flagpole.
The sound was recorded near the lock that leads to the inner harbor and the Canal Through Walcheren in Vlissingen. On the nearby station square, you can occasionally hear people. There are currently no ships present.
About the picture This photo taken at the sea lock in Vlissingen.
The image depicts a coastal lock system designed to manage vessel traffic between Scheldt river and the inner harbor and the canal. On the day of the recording, weather conditions were severe, with storm-force winds reaching up to 80 km/h. A flag marked "Zeeland" is visibly affected by the gusts, and the wind is strong enough to whip the hair of a man standing nearby. The infrastructure includes mooring points, red safety railings, and a road with several parked vehicles. No vessels are present at the time of observation.
