At this ditch side with trees and shrubs, many honeybees fly around. Birds sing and a friendly breeze blows.

Note on the honeybees.
About 1.5 km north of here, across the river, is the protected nature reserve "De Biesbosch" which is home to many wild bees.
There are 11 commercial amateur hives here. In a census we did last year we counted about 40 hives in this small part of this polder.
Around the nature reserve, according to the newspaper, there must be hundreds of hives.
Because these honey bees we fly 5 km for food they are now a (too) big competition for the wild bees in the nature reserve. This is more than all annoying, but the wildlife managers in the nature reserve are powerless. After all, they are not prohibited from placing the hives.
