Summer ambiance at the river Amer in The Netherlands. A ship sails past the river and the call of the red listed barn swallows echoes in the tunnelling under the pumping station / sluice that passes under the river dike.
The sluice is located in the dike to pump away the excess water from the low-lying polder.
