Dutch people are waiting for the professional cycling tour La Vuelta 2022 which will pass this village Vlijmen in the Netherlands.

A young family has nestled very close to my microphone. They are clearly people who never come to see the race. The children are already bored upon arrival. Then any wait is too long. A large family is quietly waiting for their rug.
Traffic wardens are busy directing traffic. More and more motorbikes of the police and organization are passing by. The tension is mounting.
After twenty minutes the 'green' advertising carvan comes along. Compared to the Tour De France, this is a pathetic, loud honking display of a few minutes. No advertising material is thrown out of the cars at all and that is not appreciated by the public.
And then wait and wait again, but still no Vuelta......
