Few people around in an old courtyard. A man singing in his small house that once was from the Catholic sisters. An other that sees me recording and starts to talk to himself about the quality of the microphones. A postman brings a packet. The carillon and the bell of the down-town Saint Johns dome (sint Jan) is very close here. The only traffic is from some scooters and people on a bike. A fellow passant. The wind is here some moments. It’s calm here.

If you do not know how to go, you never get here. The Zusters van Orthenpoort, down-town ‘s-Hertogenbosch in The Netherlands. The people who come here live here. Only a lost tourist comes in this area.

Gear chain: NOS setup (30cm, 90 degree) stereo recording, Rode NTG1 and Sennheiser mkh50 (right) > Sound Devices 302 >Tascam dr-100 Mk2. When you want to use it in MONO –> delete one channel and make the other channel mono. (More about NOS setup see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NOS_stereo_technique ) Left +4 dB, Low-cut 160 Hz 12 dB / octave.
