Sunrise on a calm April morning on the river forelands along the river Meuse in the Netherlands next to village/hamlet Bokhoven. ![]()
It's just before seven in the morning. The roosters are awake on the other side of the river dike of the Maas. In the village of Bokhoven people are still sleeping. An airplane is already going to its destination. After all, there is no corona yet in 2019. Different groups of geese of various breeds are heard. The woodpecker and the pheasant, the crow and the mallard also know that spring is coming. There are also several bird species to be heard, but luckily all at a distance, making the ambiance beautiful. When the great spotted woodpecker also beats on the tree, even if you only look with your ears, the image of the river is complete.
The ship's engine of a boat can be heard on the left.
When the oystercatcher makes itself heard, I no longer hear the distant traffic over the dike.
