Covid town Saturday NL 201017_0203.flac

Quiet downtown location on a Saturdays. The second Corona measures that have just been announced ensure that it is extremely quiet in the city.

There is little traffic. Just a show off with an overpaid rented Maserati, a disco car and some scooters. The carillon plays a tune to cheer people up. Even the birds hold their breath most of the time.

About the location where I am;

This is the "Zuster Van Trierstraat", the sisters of Trier. A new street in the inner city of 's-Hertogenbosch. I am standing next to the former morgue of a demolished hospital "Groot Ziekengasthuis GZG". Old buildings have been spared in this section. The oldest mention of the hospital dates back to 1274. In the former morgue, there will be apartments.
The Sisters of the Congregation of Saint Borromeo or the Sisters of Trier, were sisters who devoted themselves diligently and selflessly to care in the former GZG and the former Carolus Hospital. The monastic order spread from Nancy across Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic.

About the most important corona measures for this moment (Oct 13, just for history):

Stay at home when you have a cold.
Keep a distance of 1.5 meters from each other.
At home you receive a maximum of 3 people per day.
In indoor areas where people are seated, a maximum number of people is 30.
Outside, a group consists of a maximum of 4 people from different households.
Work at home, unless there is no other option.
From the age of 13, wear a face mask in public indoor areas and on public transport.
In secondary education and higher education everyone wears a mask outside of class.
All food and beverage outlets are closed. Pick up is still possible.
Retail stores close by 8:00 PM at the latest. Shopping evenings will be abolished.
No more alcohol is sold or delivered between 8:00 PM - 7:00 AM.
It is not allowed to carry or consume alcohol in public areas between 20:00 and 07:00.
Coffee shops are closed after 20:00. The police can always intervene if you are carrying soft drugs.
For everyone over 18, sports are only allowed at a distance of 1.5 meters and only individually or in a team with no more than 4 people. Competitions are not allowed.
