As a start of the International Day against Racism on March 21st 2016 people make a CARPET FOR PEACE AND EQUIVALENT with anyone who comes along.
People make a multicolored carpet as a reflection of contemporary society. People are creating the carpet, like a mosaic made up of residuals.
Syrian refugees living here participate.
PEAL and TIME OF ATTENTION
At 2pm there is a "moment of attention" required by chiming. Everyone is asked to stop shopping, walking or work, with eyes and arms wide open or closed in inner attention, or a ZEN moment to focus on each other.
For today this place is remanded into tolerance square.
The visual artist 'Marianne van Heeswijk' will close the gap between refugees and local residents.
