Interview with the Dutch Martien de Laat about his life in a Dutch working-class-quarter down-town 's-Hertogenbosch between 1946-1964.

Martien de Laat is nu 84 jaar oud. Verhuisde als jonge man na de oorlog van Vught naar 's-Hertogenbosch. Hij heeft daar als meubelmaaker jaren in de volkbuurt 'de Pijp' gewoond. Hij beheerde een hal cq werkplaats en wist zich als buitenstaander prima te handhaven. Dit in tegenstelling van vele andere Boschenaren die de wijk toen niet in durfde.
Geniet van zijn prachtige verhaal.
De Pijp is in de jaren zestig helemaal gesloopt.
