Small, 5m wide country-side, rocky stream. Rocks under water. Clean and close recording.![]()
Recorded: Heriëttewaard, 's-Hertogenbosch / Engelen, the Netherlands. Maps: 51° 44' 6.14" N 5° 15' 50.25" E
Gear chain: Rode NT4 XY in Rode Blimp and one Aquarian Audio Hydrophones H2a XLR > Sound Devices 302 >Tascam dr-100 Mk2.
How did I do it;
Used a Rode NT4 at the edge of the stream. Did low-cut 160Hz to get rid of traffic-noise around.
Hang a hydrophone in the stream, close to the rocks.
Inverted the right channel of the NT4 in the 302 mixer to get a wider stereo image and used the underwater-sound (mono) to fill the low noise of the stream. An experimental and different mid-side (ms) recording. Hope you like it.
