Traffic in Calapan city, Philippines. (Take 1)
I made this recording from a balcony located in Calapan city (Oriental Mindoro, Philippines), right in front of Xentro Mall, at the end of the afternoon.
One can hear quite heavy traffic with lots of vehicles (cars, motorcycles, some trucks and some jeepneys) passing by and onking at times, as well as the voices of some people coming in or going out the mall.
From time to time, one can also hear men shouting to invite passengers to come in their jeepney or tricycle, as well as a bus honking (starting at #9:49), calling passengers going to Bulalacao.
At #6:45, a vehicle passes by with some loud music.
Recorded in August 2025 with a Zoom H5studio (built-in XY microphones).
Fade in/out applied in Audacity.

Thanks Marcel !
Exactly, no stress ! Usually, along as you don’t behave like a horrible condescending tourist, Filipino people are very friendly and far from being stressful !

What a wonderful atmosphere. I now know that the honking is just to warn each other that someone is approaching and not a sign of stress.
