Tingloy lagoon atmosphere.
I made this recording in the morning, at a place called The Lagoon by the inhabitants, on the western coast of Tingloy, a small island in Batangas Province, in the Philippines.
One can hear gentle waves and wavelets lapping the rocky coast, while some fishermen using small motorboats (outrigger canoes called Bangka) will approach at #5:30, and pass by in front of me a few seconds later.
Recorded in August 2025 with a Zoom H5studio (built-in XY microphones).
Fade in/out applied in Audacity.

Thanks Colin !
Yes, usually tourists are banned during 6 to 10 weeks because the sea become dangerous around the island during monsoon. In addition, this break allows the nature to recover a bit, which is a good news, of course !

Banning tourists! What a lovely concept.
How quiet my village would be.
Lovely sound.
Thanks.

@newlocknew: Thank you very much !
Yes, it was ! But since the tourists discovered the place it started to change a lot. Of course, this is a good opportunity for the inhabitants, but I have to admit that I probably prefered the genuine island that I discovered 12 years ago.
Hopefully, nowadays, there still are some weeks in August and September during which tourists are banned, and I've had the chance to make this recording during this quieter time.

Peace and quiet! And only the waves gently caress the shore! Isn't this heaven? Great surf recording!*****
