Reverberant atmosphere in a circular church at Saint Padre Pio Sanctuary (binaural, please use headset for 3D effects).
I made this binaural recording during a crowded Sunday morning at Saint Padre Pio Sanctuary, in Santo tomas (Batangas, Philippines) (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Padre_Pio_Shrine), while I was sitting in the main church, which is round, and open to the outside at 270° (except behind the altar).
So, one can hear lots of pilgrims and visitors (adults and kids) inside and outside this very reverberant church, as well as birds and cicadas in the trees around. At about #3:07, distant loudspeakers begin to broadcast some prayers, as a Holy Mass is starting in an other place of the sanctuary.
Recorded in August 2025 with a Zoom H5studio and Ohrwurm 3D binaural microphones.
Fade in/out and high pass filter at 60Hz -6dB/oct applied in Audacity.
(If you want to use this sound as a mono audio file, you may have to delete one channel to avoid phase issues).

What I find most beautiful are the children's voices in that big church. They sound almost the same all over the world.
