City walk through train station, street and mall in Paris, France (binaural, please use headset for 3D effects).
Here’s a binaural recording of a walk from Aubert train station to Saint-Lazare mall, in Paris, France.
First, I am in the train while it’s slowing down. At #0:45, the train stops, doors open, and I exit.
Then, I walk through the wide underground train station. One can hear people walking and talking, escalators, an announcement (at #4:42) about the Metro line 6 which will not work on Sunday January 26th.
At about #6:12, I exit in the street and turn right. One can hear traffic (cars, motorcycles) on the left, people walking and chatting on the sidewalk, and outdoor speakers from a mall broadcasting music on the right. It’s quite windy and one can hear some gusts at times. Then, I continue to walk. At about #11:00, one can hear the siren of a rescue vehicle approaching, and it will pass by at about #11:45.
I continue my way in the street, and arrive at the entrance of a mall at about #14:10.
While I go through this mall (located in Saint-Lazare train station) one can hear people walking and chatting, as well as someone playing piano.
Recorded in January 2025 with an Olympus LS-P4 and Micbooster Clippy Stereo EM272 microphones (Primo em272) clipped on glasses.
Fade in/out and high pass filter at 30Hz -6dB/oct applied in Audacity.

@newlocknew : Thank you very much for your comment !
To tell you all the story, these aren’t the same mics as before, as the cable of the previously used Ohrwurm 3D binaural mics is broken, and sadly, I can’t repair it up to now.
So, I’m using the Micbooster Clippie EM272 microphones now, clipped on glasses, and the result seems quite convincing too ! ;-)

@gis_sweden: Hope that you liked it !
I’ve clipped them on my glasses, as close as possible to my ears to achieve binaural effect.

Great! I particularly liked the rhythmical escalator at 1:20 and the ear-splitting screech at 9:54.

Thanks for the walk. As I said before, I really like the space these microphones create. It is very holistic, lively and undistorted, in my opinion. Hearing doesn't get tired at all.
