Modern apartment atmosphere with wall-clock.
I made this recording in the living room of a small 3rd floor apartment, located in a modern building of a residential area in Cruseilles (Haute-Savoie, France).
On the left, a wall with a sofa. In front, the balcony, then the kitchenette opening on the right. On the right side, the room, the entrance, and finally a big furniture in our back.
So, here, one can hear the atmosphere of the empty apartment, with the wall-clock ticking near the kitchen, the humming fridge, slight noise coming from the ventilation, and some noises from outside. All along the track, one can also hear the neighbours upstairs (steps, voices, kitchen noises). At 8’08’’, they probably let something fall down, which is quite noisy. And at 12’45’’, the fridge will turn off.
Recorded in July 2023 with a Centrance MixerFace R4R and Rycote CA-08 stereo pair in ORTF configuration.
Fade in/out applied in Audacity.
