Modern apartment atmosphere, with slightly open window, and neighbours’ noise.
I made this recording in the living-room of a 4th floor apartment, located in a modern building of a residential area, in Nice city (South-East of France).
On the left, the kitchen with open door. In front, large window opening on the balcony. On the right, a bedroom, toilets, and the entrance. And at the back, a wall with sofa.
First, someone locks the door of the flat (on the right), then one can hear the refrigerator in the open kitchen (on the left), sounds from outdoor through the very slightly open window (in front), and the neighbours upstairs. Then, at 4’05’’, the fridge turns off, and one can even hear more Clearly their noises and voices.
Recorded in May 2023 with a Centrance MixerFace R4R and Rycote CA-08 stereo pair in ORTF configuration.
Fade in/out applied in Audacity.
