A real desk bell, like the kind found on a hotel or receptionist's desk. Just one ring. Recorded at close range with my camcorder. Processed to remove backgroundnoise and to keep from over-blowing the beginning of the attack.

Beautiful. I like that it was recorded close, so as to allow the editor to manipulate the volume as he/she sees fit.
