I found an old speech given in a small hall with a lousy public address system. The static made the speech very difficult to follow. But the static was beautiful. So I cut out all the talking, and all the gaps filled in to make two minutes of perfectly organic brown/white noise static. No pops, no clicks, no atmosphere sounds, just pure noise. A perfect bed to lay under any scene or music that you want to "dirty" up. For greater effect, you can stack it and/or loop it.
