St.Abbs is a small fishing village on the southeastern coast of Scotland. Very popular site for scuba divers, as sea there is unusually clear.
This recording was done in August. Plenty of seagulls on the rocks nearby and same talk from people. Inside microphones of a Sony PCMM10 recorder, you might just see in the picture:

Such a wonderful, clear sound. I'm hoping to use this in a recording for Talking Newspapers: a volunteer initiative here in the UK creating audio news stories for the blind; specifically about the first piano that travelled to Australia (by boat)m hence the need for seagull sounds, so St. Abbs may have to double as an Australian port!
