It was very windy, when I set the gear up at the edge of a forest in the Harz Mountains / Germany. AT3032 microphones, FP24 preamp into PCM-D50 recorder.

dude this is the sound.
when i was younger, back at my grandpa's farm, and i was walking in the woods, sometimes the wind would pick up, and the forest would roar, and it would feel like… something out there was approaching really quickly. like the forest was hiding some huge monster. idk, it always freaked me out when i was a kid. and in fact it inspired the title of a story i am working on! this is the sound. i would like to use this in the site's splash screen! it'll be perfect. thanks a tonne!

6:02 Damn aliens are always getting in the way! Certainly a strange plane sound especially when it dips in pitch later on.
Very good though, not too much rumble, not too much high EQ, and perfect stereo balance. 10/10. Thanks.
