Binaural recording of the street ambience on Kastanien Allee in the Prenzlauer Berg district of Berlin. I have edited the recording to focus on passing trams and a couple of cyclists on this quiet street.
Trams exist almost exclusively in the former East Berlin areas as the West removed the trams in their sector shortly after the war. Trams are best used when you are not in a hurry but nonetheless allow you to view the city which the U-bahns (underground trains) won't.
The file has been manipulated so that it will loop smoothly. If you need a longer ambience, just copy and paste it after itself and leave no gap.
Recorded into a Sony A10 using DIY binaural microphones made using Primo EM258s.
