A recording of just the three drones of a set of highland bagpipes.

Recorded using a pair of Lewitt LCT540S microphones in ORTF configuration into a Zoom F3 at 96kHz.

The three drones are all tuned to A - the lower one to A2 and the upper two to A3. Note that typically for highland pipes, this does not correspond to A440 (more like A480) so if you want this sample to match the tuning of instruments tuned to A440, you should should adjust the playback speed to a ratio of 440/480 = 0.916.
