A soprano pipistrelle recorded in the vicinity of Maynooth University in September 2019. Originally recorded at 192 kHz, this rate has been changed to 16 kHz to make the sounds audible.
In this extract the bat can be heard echolocating which culminates in a 'feeding buzz' as the bat catches prey.
Recorded on a Sony PCM D100 using Knowles ultrasonic mics.
Noise reduction has been applied.

@jamgypsy great song! I'm glad the sound was useful. Bats are cool, currently recording some more in Crete!

Thank you for sharing this audio file. It was the perfect effect I was looking for to use in a children's music video about bats: https://youtu.be/M1uVYL_5nDo?si=Rcg5tACmix2Rg5-P The echolocation begins at 01:08 in the video.
