Glad to come across freesound.
I use sound, video, images, clipart, transitions, fonts etc in various ways for work and play - but none of my projects justify paying huge amounts for professional memberships or anything beyond nominal rights costs.

I give back. Example I upload to pixabay, tbh not as much as i download, but i'm at least mindful of, and thankful for, the work of other contributors.

Having found my way here looking for an orgasm .wav - typical day in the life of - I was spoilt for choice so have just uploaded a batch of old school dj/studio sweepers as my first contribution. I'll wait see if they go through ok before i send me.
