That’s amazing, never imagined it could be a geko. I was under the impression it was a frog or bird of some kind

Ah, this is a Tokay Gecko ! (also named "Tuko" in Philippines, and I guess it's almost the same in Indonesia.)
These lezards like to hide where you can't see them (often in the coconut trees) and are noisy in the evening.
