'Loudspeaker binaural'.Ready to play Ambiophonic demo.
Pre-processed Ambiophonic ( http://www.ambiophonics.org/ ) version of binaural file 'poking bonfire with tractor.flac' - http://www.freesound.org/people/dwareing/sounds/179170/.

Place two speakers one foot apart between driver centres, and three feet in front of you, preferably near the centre of the room, away from large reflecting objects. Play normally as if stereo. Try to find the best sweet spot from there. The sound should image way beyond the speakers in depth and to the sides, possibly behind as well with an optimum setup (tractor start and end, cars and quad bike at times).

This will not sound good on headphones, nor with 'normal' 60 degree stereo speaker placement, nor on internal PC speakers. It needs to be downloaded, rather than using the built in flash? player, to have a decent chance of working well. If using a PC make sure that any 'enhancements', such as SRS, are turned off, as it will destroy the effect. Similarly for a HT setup, make sure DTS, Dolby, Panarama etc. are not enabled.

For the more discerning Ambiophonic afficionados everywhere.. this is a very rare example of a tractor with bucket, dancing around, which is neither RACE nor BACCH. Recorded with an Ambiophonaural head, processed with XTC_Convolver26DW using the 'Zuccarelli knob' to enhance distance.

Also for all the sursound Ambisonic fans who claim spatial audio can't be done with two speakers..
