Maribor - The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist is the seat of the Archdiocese of Maribor, the Parish of Maribor - St. John the Baptist, and the University Parish of Maribor. It stands in the very center of Maribor, in the geometric center of the old town core, in the middle of Slomškov trg Square. The cathedral was built in the Gothic style between 1360 and 1380, and its construction was completed in 1408.
