Maribor - Saturday morning. The city slowly awakens to the Saturday heat. Another hot day is expected. I parked my car and set up my handheld recorder a few meters away, recording the pigeons that were curiously watching me and chatting among each other.

alexdarek There are many types of pigeons, from carrier pigeons to rock pigeons to city pigeons. I find them all interesting. Even though some people call them flying rats.

Pigeons are only seemingly ordinary birds.
They are very intelligent, clever and agile in flight.
They are a difficult target for predators.
