This is a recording of single shots from a Coachgun Winchester 1200 12 Ga. 2 3/4 & 3" Mag. with a SM57 close to the shooter, MXL2001 at the target and another MXL2001 halfway down range off to the left. Recorded via a Allen & Heath Mixwiz Console into a Delta 1010 into Nuendo 2 at 24/48 and dithered to 16/44.1

It is a very nice capture, but this doesn't sound like a shotgun to me. It sounds more like a small caliber rifle (.222?) or a .410 shotgun. I can't say exactly why, but the sound isn't deep enough, and there seems to be the sound of a bullet while a shotgun would have pellets which are a different sound.
Maybe it is because you used three mics and that changes the sound. Or maybe I'm just not remembering correctly.
