Lightning strike very close to our house - within 1/3 mile. The neighbors were out watching and you can hear their reaction.
Recorded with Sony PCM-M10 internal mics, sitting on porch roof. No editing other than fade-out.

A great moment, despite the bit of clipping! Although I wouldn't want people too obviously in thunderstorm recordings generally, I really love that neighbours' response. Is a fuller length of that recording suitable for putting online here? It would be really fun to have the real startlement effect of this particular lightning strike in the context of the overall storm!
