Rainy Day

Water flowing through the drainpipe coming down from my gutters. Could work nicely for an underground/sewer/cave ambience. Edited to remove bumps on the mics, and EQ'd to enhance the resonance of the pipe and remove rumble. Reverb added for effect- see the other version of this sound in my "Rainy Day" pack to hear it without reverb added.

Recorded in Carson, CA. Used a Zoom H6 with XY attachment, with proper protection against water (I wrapped my field recorder in plastic and sealed with duct tape, then placed the windscreen over top of that to dampen any impact from stray drops). Recorded about an inch from the end of the drain.

I've just noticed some strange high-frequency noise on this, but after downloading again and importing into ProTools, I didn't notice it at all. It's possible that freesound does some sort of digital compression on their player that doesn't affect the source file. Either way, if anyone still notices a high freq. sound after downloading, please send me a message and I'll see what I can do to remove it & re-upload. Thanks.
