Upper Maxwell Falls, Evergreen, CO, at the top of the falls. Recorded a little before dusk, 2017-07-19.
Recorded binaurally using Sound Professionals MS-TFB-2 binaural microphone headset, 12vDC battery box, Sound Devices MixPre-6 at 24/192. Postprocessing: digital gain, downsampled to 16/48. Flac: encoded.
The rock formations here play appealing tricks with the sound of the running and falling stream. Facing out over falls dropoff, vaguely.
A lot of digital gain (+30dB?) was applied in postprocessing. The analog preamp was originally set to +21dB on the aux-in (ch5/6) input, but this may not have been the optimal gain staging.
