Rainfall: gradient of a powerful typhoon rain storm towards a calm light shower. Occasional noticeable dip from limiter when a drop of rain hits the waterproof bag the recorder is in. Occasional sounds of small, gas powered scooters driving by in the alleyway.
Recorded on a Zoom H1n within a nylon bag, set on a 2nd floor porch overlooking a small alleyway in Xinyi District in Taipei, Taiwan, during a typhoon in July, 2021.
Totally unedited other than the zoom h1n's built-in limiter. Recorder was at Zoom's "Volume 9" option, using the 96k 24 bit format. Lo cut off. Limiter on. Autolevel off.
Unfortunately, capped at beginning and end with sounds of recorder being put in nylon bag, bag being closed, and the assembly being set on a chair outside. The ending includes the reverse of the process, as well as general chatter between my girlfriend and I.
