This is the sound of a cement mixer's brakes after parking to pour cement for street repair. This hiss was much longer than the others that I recorded (see my profile) This was recorded in downtown Kansas City, Missouri in early September around 13:00h.
This was recorded on a Sony PCM A-10. My mics are a pair of Uši Pros, mounted on a stereo bar in an AB configuration on a small tripod. The mics were placed in an open window facing the street where some road construction was happening. The audio was lightly processed in Logic Pro,
The weather was in the low 20s celsius, dry, and clear.
