Mostly what I like about this is that it is old fashioned. I am putting together sound effects for a period piece show and as such required older sounding door bells. As for the reverb you mentioned; hearing it on my laptop it doesn't sound too bad and I think it will be a nice addition. Of course the real test will be to see how it sounds through the speakers in the theatre.
Anyway, you wanted to know a little bit about why people have downloaded this and now you do!

PLEASE LEAVE COMMENTS ABOUT WHAT YOU LIKE ABOUT IT AND HOW YOU DID OR PLAN TO USE IT! It's the most downloaded sample from me, so it would be interesting to know why? For my taste it would contain too much reverb of the hall way in which I recorded it.
