Binaural recording: standing in line waiting to be served at supermarket checkout. Building conversation of other customers behind me as the queue lengthens, most prominently, some students commenting on the alcohol they are about to buy. Sounds of the street in the background, including car alarm. Recording ends as I am called forward by the check-out assistant. Recorded in Iceland, Byres Road, Glasgow, 8 October 2010.
