This is guiro or wooden scraper, a percussion instrument you hear rasping like a 200-pound cricket trilling in a cave. While the end of the clip cuts off the reverb that was already applied, it's 100% unnoticeable if used as intended, which is to repeat the clip back-to-back indefinitely and fade out.
The tempo is 120 BPM and it's ready to loop. I used it in a 4/4 time demo clip elsewhere.
I recorded this as part of a demo of a hybrid instrument that is a wooden guiro (rasp, scraper) built onto a Native American style flute (NAsF) sold under Otter Lake Flutes. You are welcome to use it however you like. I am the maker of the instrument, as well.
