1966 Triumph Vitesse Six taken for a drive in English countryside. I took the road to March, then turned off at the Wyton airfield and drove through Kings Ripton. Although the roof is closed, notice the wind noise - it really is this noisy to drive. I reach 70 MPH a couple of times and manage a nice slide at one point though you can barely hear the tyres screech over the noise of the engine. Recorded using Soundman OKM microphones and a ZOOM H4. Post processing is minor EQ in Sound Forge to remove subsonic boom. Saved as FLAC. Enjoy!

As promised, here is a link to the finished song:

Although your recording runs throughout the song, I did vary the levels and make one edit in the beginning, to get the car "started" faster. Hope you enjoy. Thank you so much.

This is very funny. I needed the sound of a sports car, on a country drive, for a song I'm working on. The song is about an incident that occurred when I was in highschool. What's interesting, is the incident occurred in a 1966 Triumph, so this sample could not be more perfect for my purposes. Thank you so much. I'll post a link when the song is finished.

I did enjoy!
Basically, it's quite hard to record car sounds, but you did a great job. I felt like getting a ride and having myself pressed against the seat in acceleration.
Good for you.
