Turn valve amplifier full up. Lean guitar against speaker cabinet. Slowly turn up guitar's volume knob. Feedback builds up and causes low E string to vibrate until it slaps against fretboard and loses energy. Cycle repeats. Recorded with 50s-60s gear: Sennheiser MD421, RCA BK5A ribbon, and Ampex MX10 tube mixer. Good fidelity, stereo.
