Warning! This is the loudest thunder I've ever heard. It was extremely close to me when I was recording it. Perhaps 200-400 meters. The wave file is severely clipped, so watch your speakers.

Thanks for the comment. In this case, the clipping is not a result of low-quality equipment, but it is a result of having the mic gain set too high for the signal. I wanted to record just the rain, and was not expecting thunder as loud as that.

sounds like something exploding rather than a lightning strike! shame you didnt have better gear when recording..
